Highlights of the Annual Air Conditioning Expo

Any professional in the HVAC industry should seriously think about attending an annual conference or two. There are certainly enough of them to choose from. One of the biggest and most famous air conditioning expo conferences is the AHR Expo. This gathering is billed as the largest trade show and gathering where HVAC and HVACR professionals can buy, sell, trade, network, socialize and learn. For 2008, the conference will be held in January and located in the Javits Convention Center in New York. Here is what you can expect to encounter and learn about when you attend this popular function:

A variety of relevant issues and future solutions will be discussed. Examples include innovations in indoor air quality, green building solutions, energy conservation, networking integration, industry standards, automation and much more. There will even be special areas at the conference for a building automation and control showcase and a high tech software center. Some HVAC pros running their own small business may not be as familiar with computer innovations in the industry as some of the newer and bigger companies are. Attending an expo like this one can be the ideal introduction to the newest technological advancements.

At the AHR expo, there are free education sessions offered for a variety of subjects. The sessions will be held by leaders in the industry and the exact topics will be announced as the conference draws closer. This is a fantastic way to stay on top of things and refresh or increase your industry knowledge. It's certainly more affordable than taking a college course, as it won't cost you one red cent! In addition to these sessions, you will also discover technology theater presentations and a fantastic product showcase at the expo.

You will definitely want to book your reservations for this air conditioning expo far in advance to ensure you can obtain accommodations. Anytime there is a conference, all the best hotel rooms get snatched up quickly. If you plan to have a booth showcasing your company and/or products, this is something you will also need to reserve ahead of time. You can call ahead and reserve the perfect room at the hotel of your choice, as well as your booth at the conference, with a credit card such as Mastercard, Visa or American Express. Once you attend the AHR Expo, you'll want to return year after year!
